Reducing bushings are devices that are used to change the diameter of an existing connection to one that is smaller. This enables the connection of pipe or hose to be suitable to the application rather than the size of the connection with which the pump was manufactured.
Bison Pumps water inlet connections on the deep well pump systems is 1 1/4” NPT, and on the shallow well pumps is 2” NPT. Therefore, if an incoming water line to one of these pump systems does not match the existing system, then a Reducing Bushing is required to make the connection.
Make your Reducing Bushing selection based on the water inlet size of your pump and your incoming water line size.
